Benchosaur (Sedesaur Plasticum)

This is a shrine to the Benchosaur - a dinosaur that Shen from Shen's World found on a bench one day.

My reconstruction of that fateful day. Benchosaurus is (probably) not to scale.

I propose the scientific name Sedesaur Plasticum from the latin "Sedes" for seat, bench, or chair, "saur" for lizard, and "Plasticum" for "plastic".

Its common name, however, can be Benchosaur... or whatever Shen eventually decides to call it.

Look at that cute little face!

It's a young, orange, plastic triceratops with detailed skin texture, little moulded nails, and a printed eye in that new plastic paint which makes everything slightly translucent and icky like the prints from 2020's LEGO. It has a branching umbrella bat-wing like frill which is not at all realistic and would likely get it removed from the gene pool as soon as rutting season came in.

Most importantly, it's friend-shaped and theoretically it awaits us on all imaginable benches.

BREAKING NEWS - this dinosaur is from the PAW Patrol tv show and was included in the set Paw Patrol - The Dino Movie: Rocky Dino Rescue Recycler Playset by SPINMASTER (image from The Entertainer online shop - links are not endorsed).

I imagine there's some child out there devastated that they've lost their triceratops, and I imagine there are multiple inner children who love the idea that the triceratops was picked up, loved, and now has several web pages about it.

===UPDATE===

Shen has updated their website about my website update about their website update about my website, so now it's my turn to update my website about their website update about my website update about their website update about my website.

I made a post on Reddit describing the situation in the hopes that other people might join in on the excitement around the benchosaur. We may have lured in Mevdik.

Reinactment of the Reddit thread

Seems a bit dangerous to be doing this on earth. Luckily, Shen has a lab in space where further benchosaur work can take place.

An obscure reference. Let's just say Shen might be raising hell in space.

Our scientists wait to see what new tricks a Benchosaur can do in zero-gravity.
